Xilinhot Airport (IATA: XIL, ICAO: ZBXH), located in Xilinhot City, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is an international airport in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the second largest airport in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, after Hohhot Baita International Airport. Xilinhot Airport was officially opened to traffic on December 28, 2006 and is the first international airport in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Xilinhot Airport is located in the northeast of Xilinhot City, about 20 kilometers from the city, 10 kilometers from Xilinhot Railway Station and 15 kilometers from the center of Xilinhot City. The airport covers an area of about 3.5 square kilometers and has a 3,200-meter runway, which can accommodate medium and large passenger aircraft at the same time. The airport has an international terminal, which can accommodate more than 1,000 people to enter and exit at the same time, and can meet the demand for domestic and international passenger transportation.
Xilinhot Airport is currently open to many domestic cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Xi`an, Chongqing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Dalian, Harbin, Changchun, Jinan, Qingdao, Taiyuan, Lanzhou and Urumqi, as well as international cities such as Moscow, Singapore, Bangkok, Vancouver, London, Hong Kong and Sydney.
