Dallas Love Field Airport is a city airport located approximately 6 miles north of downtown Dallas, Texas, United States, with IATA airport code DAL.
Founded in 1917, it is one of the oldest airports in Texas and was once the primary airport for the city of Dallas. In the 1960s, with the establishment of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Edwards Airport shifted to feeder service and is now primarily a hub airport for Southwest Airlines, with flights operated by several other airlines.
The airport facilities include a modern terminal building that provides passenger check-in, baggage check, security screening, waiting, dining and shopping services, as well as a variety of infrastructure such as parking, car rental services and public transportation services. The airport also has a number of restaurants and stores for leisure and shopping purposes.
