Comiso Airport, located in Comiso, southern Italy, is an international airport located on the outskirts of the city of Miso and is the southernmost airport in Italy. The airport is located about 20 km west of the city of Miso, about 25 km from the center of Miso and about 30 km from the nearest beach in Miso. The airport was opened in 1962 as a base for the Italian Air Force and is home to the 37th Air Base of the Italian Air Force. The airport has a runway with a length of 2,400 meters and a width of 45 meters, which can accommodate the take-off and landing of large passenger aircraft. The airport has a terminal building that provides passenger, cargo, private jet and other services. With a capacity of over 500,000 passengers per year, the airport is one of the busiest airports in Italy.
