Baotou Airport (IATA: BAV, ICAO: ZBOW) is a civil airport in Baotou, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, located in Chifeng City, southeast of Baotou, about 50 km from downtown Baotou and 20 km from Chifeng City. Built in 1958, the airport is the only international airport in China`s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and one of the important civil airports in northwest China. The airport has a 3,200-meter runway that can accommodate large passenger aircraft at the same time and has an annual passenger throughput of 2 million passengers. The airport has domestic flights, international flights, multimodal flights and military-civilian joint flights, with routes covering all parts of China as well as Europe, Asia and other regions.
Baotou Airport has a domestic terminal, an international terminal, a cargo terminal and a military-civilian intermodal terminal, providing comprehensive service facilities, including a terminal, baggage claim, a business center, catering services, shopping services, currency exchange, laundry services, and services for the disabled. The airport also has aircraft maintenance, fuel supply, flight training, aircraft inspection, aircraft rental and other services.
