Royal Air Force Base Leuchars (RAF Leuchars) is an RAF base located in Fife in eastern Scotland, adjacent to the North Sea coastline. The base was established during the First World War and was once one of the only bases in Scotland for a rapid reaction fighter force.
RAF Lochus has a runway length of 2,721 meters and can land large aircraft including Boeing 747s and Airbus A380s. The base has several parking spaces, ground service facilities and hangars, and is primarily responsible for the training and operational missions of RAF pilots.
