Altay Airport (IATA: AAT, ICAO: ZWAT), located in Altay City, Xinjiang, is an international airport in the Altay region of Xinjiang and one of the largest airports in the region. Built in 1958, Altay Airport is one of the first airports built in Xinjiang. The runway length is 2.5 kilometers and the width is 45 meters, which can meet the requirements of large passenger aircraft. The airport has an international terminal that can accommodate international flights. The airport can accommodate over 500,000 passengers per year and is one of the most important transportation hubs in the Xinjiang region.
