    Rutgers Preparatory School is an independent coeducational college preparatory day school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The oldest independent school in New Jersey, Rutgers Prep was established in 1766 under the same charter which established Queens College, later Rutgers College. Located in Somerset on a beautiful campus which borders the Raritan River just west of New Brunswick, Rutgers Prep enrolls students from diverse geographic, economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds. The metropolitan area of Central New Jersey, nearby Rutgers University, and accessibility to New York City offers students additional educational and cultural experiences, and the school’s total enrollment numbers approximately 700 students.
