The Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals (Québec) was established on November 26, 1993 in response to the need for the formation of an organization of Chinese Canadian Professionals in Québec to promote their well-being. This organization will serve to liaise and cooperate with Chinese Canadian Professionals from other provinces as well as with the Chinese professionals around the world, to exchange professional knowledge, to develop Chinese professional businesses, and possibly to engage in research to provide better opportunities for Chinese Canadians in certain professions. Since the Charter Night of the Federation, eight committees have been organized. These committees include the Secretariat, the Treasury, the Programme Committee, the Public Relations Committee, the Newsletter Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee for the Federation Logo.
The objectives of the Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals (FCCP) are to develop and promote the cultural and professional well-being of Chinese Canadians without limiting the generality of the foregoing shall include the following:
to provide a strong voice for the professionals as a group;
to provide advice to professionals and students;
to foster and advance the interests of Chinese Canadian professionals;
to provide liaisons between professionals and government agencies; and
to uphold the ethical standards of the professionals.
