Established in February 2006 as a non-profit organization, the North Carolina China Center has developed a bridge for economic, educational and cultural exchange between North Carolina and the Greater China Region. The Center’s effectiveness to bring together key decision-makers, high-ranking government officials, corporate leaders, as well as cultural and educational leaders, has resulted in long-term relationships and numerous formal agreements.
The mission of the North Carolina China Center (NCCC) is to serve as a statewide catalyst and resource for the promotion of economic, educational, governmental and citizen pursuits between North Carolina and the Greater China Region (GCR, including mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan). The objectives of the NCCC are to explore business opportunities; promote academic exchanges; foster industrial collaborations; enhance cross-cultural understanding; and assist all interested parties and business entities as well as public and private institutions in developing relationships with the GCR
