MJAA (Monte Jade Science & Technology Association, Asian American Chapter) is a professional networking association that helps early- and mid-career professionals broaden their networks and realize their full personal/career potentials. We are young, energetic, and upward-mobile professionals in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area, although MJAA also has members throughout the world. MJAA`s activities include highly-acclaimed annual business & technology delegations to Asia (Asia Trip), executive mentorship program, professional speaker series, and other professional/social mixers.
MJAA is one of the fourteen chapters of Global Monte Jade Science & Technology Association. Monte Jade Science & Technology Association was founded by a group of leading overseas Chinese professionals and corporations in the high-tech industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. The name "Monte Jade" was chosen to embody the spirit of high achievement and professional excellence. The founders` vision was to bring together Bay Area`s Chinese professionals in the high-tech arena and to expand their collaborations on a global level. In June, 1989, an organizing committee was formed in the Silicon Valley, and less than a year later on February 4, 1990, Monte Jade Science & Technology Association had its official opening ceremony in the heart of the Silicon Valley: San Jose, California. Since then, Monte Jade has expanded its network throughout North America and Asia into fourteen chapters, which are now allied under the name of "Global Monte Jade."
